Notes on doing it — Day #350: Preparation is half the battle

Preparation makes everything easier

Threehundredfifty consecutive days of writing and publishing every day. I think its safe to say I got this habit on lock. Some days, however, it’s still easier to write than others.

The easiest days are the days where I’m prepared. I have also learned that this is the case in all other areas of my life.

It’s much easier to write when I know what to write about. It’s much easier to get up early and go for a run when I have put out my clothes and running shoes in advance. Grocery shopping gets easier with a shopping list. And dealing with a difficult task is less difficult once you’ve identified and broken it down into smaller parts.

One of the keys to doing the things you want to do is definitely preparation. Maybe it’s even half the battle.
